The winemaker
Since 2003, the talented and charismatic Cédric Moussé has transformed the family estate by integrating a strong environmental dimension. Under his leadership, the estate has distinguished itself by its commitment to the environment: an entirely eco-designed winery, tillage that favors the use of animal traction when the tractor is not in use, planting in phase with lunar cycles, and treatment of the vines with plants and essential oils. Particular attention is paid to enhancing the value of the Meunier grape.
Cédric Moussé is one of the most talented winemakers of his generation. A specialist in Meunier, he works with this grape variety with a strong character, grown on a soil of green clay, known as illite in pedology. He makes it a point of honor to minimize intervention, seeking to fully reveal the expression of his terroir, without artifice. His Champagnes, with their great precision and identity, are the perfect match for gastronomy, a passion that Cédric, a fine connoisseur, cultivates with care.
The Moussé wine estate
Domaine Moussé is a renowned Champagne house in the Marne Valley. This family-run estate stands out for its unique know-how and deep respect for Champagne traditions, while adopting environmentally-friendly viticultural practices. For several generations, the Moussé family has grown mainly Meunier, an emblematic grape variety that produces fruity, elegant and expressive champagnes.
The estate is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking, aimed at preserving the authenticity of the terroir.
Cultivation practices: use of plants, essential oils, compost, tillage and eco-pasturing.
Vinification: ageing in stainless steel vats, bottling in April, use of perpetual reserve wine, very low levels of mineral SO2, natural methods for protecting the wine, and no added oenological products.
