1975 was a very successful year in the Bordeaux vineyard but was more difficult in the Rhône and in Burgundy.

After a very mediocre 1974 vintage, the 1975 wines have been eagerly awaited in Bordeaux. The weather conditions were favourable and allowed the production of red and white wines of quality and quantity. One can therefore find exceptional bottles of 1975 in all the beautiful appellations. In Saint Emilion, the Château Trotanoy 1975 is part of the 1975 gems just like the prestigious Petrus 1975 or Lafleur 1975 in Pomerol. In Pessac, La Mission Haut Brion 1975 also stands out. The sweet white wines (Sauternes) of 1975 are also superb as is the Château d'Yquem 1975.
In Burgundy, 1975 was a difficult year, but the white wines of Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru and Romanée Grand Cru that stood out for their superior quality are noteworthy.
In the Vallée du Rhône, few wines stand out in 1975. Some Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reds from 1975 are nevertheless interesting and can still give very good tastings. For example, the Réserve des Célestins of Henri Bonneau or the Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe 1975.
The 1975 vintage was very favourable in Champagne. Maison Bollinger has notably produced a magnificent Champagne R.D. 1975 which can be tasted today without any problem.
Alsace produced very great white wines in 1975, particularly Riesling, starting with Maison Trimbach and its splendid Clos Saint Hunes.
