The harvest of the 1997 vintage is relatively heterogeneous in Bordeaux. We note very good red wines with a slightly less impressive ageing potential than usual. The white wines are particularly successful in Pessac-Léognan and Haut-Brion stands out in 1997. The Sauternes are of very good quality.

In Burgundy, 1997 is a good vintage, we will remember the Côte de Nuits having produced superb reds and for the whites, the Côte de Beaune offers very good successes with a beautiful richness.

The 1997 vintage clearly favoured the North more than the South in the Vallée du Rhône. Very nice achievement in the North. In 1997, The Loire produced rich wines that are very pleasant to taste.
