Good advice on the 2010 vintage

For this 2010 vintage, the French winegrowers took advantage of the best of times and some difficult moments. For Bordeaux, another superb vintage. While hot, dry weather persisted throughout the region for most of the season, producers reported that their vats were filled with young wines of intense colour, powerful tannins and higher than usual alcohol content.

For Alsace, a late, fresh harvest in 2010 resulted in another great vintage, one of many in the last decade.

In Burgundy, the whites are fruity and balanced, with high levels of acidity. The reds show lots of fruit and good colour, with balanced acidity. Good natural ripeness in the wines of the premiers and seconds grands crus.

For the Loire, yet another exceptional vintage to add to the success of the vintage.
