Located in Verzy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Vincent Renoir has been making champagnes for 4 generations. Handed down from father to son, the house is recognised among the Independent Winegrowers. The vineyard is mainly located in the commune of Verzy, one of the 17 villages classified Grand Cru. The harvest is carried out by hand in order to follow the maturity of each parcel and to guarantee a high quality. The grapes are then pressed directly on the estate and the juice vinified in stainless steel vats. The wines are then aged in the cellar for several years before being marketed.
In 2014, Adrien joined the estate and decided to launch his own brand, Champagne Adrien Renoir. He starts experimenting with organic and biodynamic viticulture and officially launches his conversion in 2017. The stainless steel vats are now replaced by oak barrels in which fermentation takes place spontaneously using indigenous yeasts. Maturing on lees for 11 months is then carried out, with as little intervention as possible (without fining or filtration).
