Saint-Emilion - Second wine of Château Angélus
Tasting notes :
Carillon de l'Angélus 2000 is an elegant and refined wine, typical of Saint-Émilion wines. It offers intense aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherry, raspberry and plum, with subtle notes of vanilla, tobacco and oak from its oak ageing. On the palate, it is silky and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a lingering finish.
Grape variety :
Carillon de l'Angélus 2000 is mainly made from Merlot, a dominant grape variety in the Saint-Émilion region. It is often blended with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, which adds structure and complexity to the wine.
Food and wine pairing :
This wine is the perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, such as roast lamb, grilled beef or duck confit. It also goes well with mushroom or truffle dishes.
