• Tasted by William Kelley in 2023: "Like the best 1959s, it retains a remarkably healthy ruby-black colour and unfolds in the glass over several hours with rich aromas of blackberries and other black fruits intermixed with hints of mint, vine smoke, rose petals and spice. Full-bodied, it is deep and enveloping, with a concentrated core of fruit, soft, structuring tannins and a long, resonant finish. Its aromatic range, purity of fruit and persistence make it one of the great wines of the vintage (which has lost nothing in comparison with an immaculate magnum of Lafite 1959)."
