Chateauneuf du Pape Red 2021 - Domaine de Beaurenard
Chateauneuf du pape
94/100 James Suckling
Tasted by Joe Czerwinski in 2024 - “The 2021 Châteauneuf du Pape is every bit as tasty as this vintage's cuvée spéciale Boisrenard, with very similar notes of black raspberry, black olive and garrigue. Quite full-bodied, it is a little creamy on the mid-palate, then adds notes of dark chocolate on the supple, persistent finish. The blend of this wine is less focused on Grenache (65%), with 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and small quantities of other authorized grape varieties.”
