Description
Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is part of the family of incomparable white wines from Burgundy. Surrounded on both sides by the Bâtard-Montrachet vineyard, it is in fact the second smallest Grand Cru of Burgundy with only 3.68 ha. In the Middle Ages, the lords would have given these lands as a gift to their serfs who would then have decided to call them "Bienvenues" (welcome). The soil is similar to that of Montrachet but slightly more productive.
