What is the Bouzereau estate?

The Domaine Michel Bouzereau & Fils has been located in Meursault for 7 generations!

Michel Bouzereau comes from a large wine-growing family and was president of the Union des vignerons de Bourgogne (Burgundy Winegrowers' Union). He's a voice to be heard. And what he likes to talk about is the traditional way of making wine. He ferments in barrels and gives his wines nine months on their lees. Determined that his wines will smell and taste only wine, the importance of new wood is recognized but minimized. Michel's son, Jean Baptiste, is now in charge of making the seventeen wines of this 11-hectare estate.

The wines of Domaine Michel Bouzereau & Fils ?

Jean-Baptiste has respected his father's more traditional practices, but he has breathed a fresher, more lively element into the wines, which only reinforces their appeal. These wines offer very good value for money and are reference examples for each of the crus. They can also age better than expected. The whites from this estate are the most likely to be distinguished, perhaps with the Premier Cru des Genevrières being the best.
