Château Boyd Cantenac 2002
Margaux - 3rd grand cru classé
90/100 Wine Spectator
When to drink this wine? : Drink now.
Tasting: "An undeniable sleeper of the vintage, this wine exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a sweet nose of charcoal-infused black fruits, some gritty tannin, but enough concentration and stuffing to balance out the wine's structure. It is a long -term effort and will require more patience than the supple-textured 2003, but there is considerable intensity and richness, and the wine is powerful and structured.."
Grape varieties: cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot.
Operating temperature :
Between 16°C and 18°C
