Château Boyd Cantenac 2008
Margaux - 3rd grand cru classé
89+/100 Parker
When to drink this wine? A wine for laying down that has reached maturity. You can enjoy it now or cellar it until 2030.
Tasted by Parker in 2011: " Although closed for now, the potentially exceptional 2008 exhibits a deep plum/purple colour, high tannin, and a more masculine style than most vintages. Good weight and purity, as well as notes of licorice, underbrush, black currants, and subtle smoky oak, are found in this firm effort. Give it 4-5 years in bottle and drink it over the next 15+ years. ".
Grape varieties: cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot.
