How did the 2020 vintage turn out?
The 2020 vintage is a brilliant success for Thierry Pillot, delivering concentrated, chiseled wines that will delight purists of Burgundy whites. As I've said many times, Pillot is one of a handful of exciting producers who have made Chassagne-Montrachet the most dynamic white wine village in the Côte de Beaune today, and as he enters his 40s, he's thinking about the next step. His viticulture is already innovative, with vines pruned high and, in some cases, managed by braiding.
- Presentation of the wine: This is a white wine from the "Bourgogne Aligoté" appellation. The wine comes from a small parcel of 1 ha located around Chassagne-Montrachet. The wine is aged for 1 year in barrels.
- The wine is light and lively on the palate. The mouth is light and lively!
- Allergens: Contains sulphites
- Alcohol content: 12.5
- Ideal serving temperature: 12 °C
