Côte de Nuit-Villages Mosaïc 2018 - Daniel Rion & Fils
This plot on a gentle slope, presents a brownish-red clayey-silt soil, rather superficial, not very stony, on Callovian and Oxfordian limestone lava. The vines, located in the communes of Prémeaux and Comblanchien, are 10 and 50 years old.
In the glass: Often well-colored, this wine presents aromas of red fruits (cherry and morello cherry), liquorice and almost always animal aromas as it ages. Our Côte de Nuits Villages is aged in barrels of one wine or more, and can age 7 or 8 years, or even more in great vintages.
Food and wine pairing : Depending on the characteristics of the vintage, it will go well with a potted chicken, a pheasant with grapes or a veal loin, or with a Provençal-style cod, a pikeperch with red butter, and certain cheeses made but not full-bodied.
