Chateau Cadet-Bon 1961
Grand Cru Classified of St Emilion
Quality of the vintage : In terms of quality, the 1961 vintage was an exceptional year. Particularly in Bordeaux, where excellent climatic conditions made it possible to obtain a vintage astonishing for its concentration and richness. Very early on, specialists understood that it was to be compared to the mythical 1928 and 1945; some went further and wondered if it was not going to be the true "vintage of the century". Today, these wines still deserve to be tasted, even if they reached their peak a number of years ago: they still know how to surprise with their roundness and fruit.
Grape varieties: Merlot (~80%), Cabernet Franc (~20%).
Tasting : This wine offers notes of tobacco, fruits of the woods (like blackberry flavors), with also a mineral side that ends on cigar notes.
