By Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2020: "Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the Canon la Gaffelière 2017 comes out of the glass roaring with exuberant notes of baked blackberries, blueberry compote and redcurrant jelly, plus notes of forest floor, dried roses and cedar breast with a flood of dead leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has fantastic density with a firm weave of fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness, ending with lingering layers of lively, energetic fruit".
