Saint-Emilion - Premier Grand Cru Classé B
91/100 Wine Spectator
Tasting notes : "This wine really caresses the palate with its ripe fruit and soft tannins. It has been polished to perfection after four decades. Medium-bodied and silky, it reveals cherry, berry and mushroom aromas and flavours (1995.)
A rare, collector's wine.
FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE CUVÉE :
Château Canon is best known for its red wines, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and, to a lesser extent, Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot is the dominant grape variety, bringing richness, roundness and structure to the wines. Cabernet Franc adds complex aromas and elegant tannins, while Cabernet Sauvignon can add power and longevity to the wines.
Château Canon wines are characterized by elegance, finesse and balance. They offer aromas of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant and violet, as well as spicy, woody notes resulting from ageing in oak barrels. On the palate, the wines are generally silky, with well-integrated tannins and good acidity.
