95/100 Parker
Tasted by :William Kelley
Release price : N/A
Tasting period: 2027 - 2050
Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2022 opens with aromas of orange zest, oyster liqueur, brine and white flowers. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with a satiny texture and marked mineral intensity, affirming its status as the most ethereal Grand Cru climat.
The 2022 vintage marks the penultimate year of organic conversion for the 78-hectare Domaine William Fèvre. However, the estate has already been applying organic practices for 16 years. This vintage is a real success, displaying remarkable tension and precision, qualities that are not systematically guaranteed in this Chablis vintage.
Beyond the quality of the wines, the major news about this estate, wisely and competently managed by Didier Séguier since 1999, is its acquisition by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).Certainly, William Fèvre could not have hoped for a better guardian for his future.
