THE SUBLIMATION OF A GRAPE VARIETY
As early as 1830, the House of Louis Roederer acquired a great knowledge of the terroirs, practiced separate vinification and mastered effervescence. In the heart of the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay flourishes fully on limestone soils, Louis Roederer selects two exceptional Grands Crus, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Avize, whose typicity and complementarity enable the production of intense wines expressing finesse and aromatic richness.
A CHARDONNAY IDENTITY
100% Chardonnay - The Blanc de Blancs Vintage cuvée is aged on average 5 years on the lees and also benefits from a minimum of 6 months rest after disgorging in order to perfect its maturity.
A STRADIVARIUS WINE
The attack on the palate is typical of Chardonnay: smooth and slender on the palate. Slightly honeyed floral notes, white fruits, dried fruits, are associated with the almost chalky minerality of the Côte des Blancs. The texture is reminiscent of sugared almonds, a sensation reinforced by a soft and enveloping effervescence. The mouth continues on the finesse, elegance and freshness, reinforced by some evocations of fresh mint and basil.
