Champagne Tarlant La Vigne d'Or 2006
Pinot Meunier is the only grape variety on this plot and it flourishes in the Marne Valley on its terroir of excellence: the Sparnacien. From this clay-limestone soil of Oeuilly, is born La Vigne d'Or planted more than 65 years ago and cultivated with care by our great-grandfather Georges Tarlant.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Meunier
Terroir : "Pierre de Bellevue" lieu-dit in Oeuilly (Marne Valley), Sparnacian subsoil.
Vinification : Vinification in oak barrels. First fermentation in barrels and stirring, conservation until May.
Dosage: 0 g/L - Brut Nature
Colour: Deep amber colour. Dynamic cord of bubbles.
Nose : Baroque and voluptuous, the Vigne d'Or expresses aromas of pastry, praline and roasted nuts, then takes us to notes of apples and stewed pears.
Palate : The wine is ample and plays on the ripe bitterness of the Meunier de Pierre de Bellevue. The finish discovers almond and walnut flavours.
Food and wine pairing: A persistent champagne that will go well with a pan-fried foie gras and pear chutney.
