Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires 2007
Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs
96/100 James Suckling
Nov 29, 2021 - "Intense aromas of oyster shell and candied lemon draw you into this very elegant champagne, which is so precise on the elegant, concentrated palate with a finish of crystal purity and brilliance. Still very young, thanks to its intoxicating freshness! A Blanc de Blancs made from 5 Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs. To drink or to keep."
The estate talk about it
- In 1993, Charles Heidsieck presented for the first time the Blanc des Millénaires in its prestigious 1983 vintage. At the time, it was the affirmation of a know-how in the elaboration of Blanc de blancs champagnes (the oldest being 1949), and the will to specify a style. Since then, the House has revealed only five vintages of this award-winning cuvée: 1985, 1990, 1995, 2004 and 2006.
- A golden robe with green reflections. A solar Champagne. A nose with floral notes of violet and acacia, then flavors of blood orange. After shaking in the glass, we feel flavors of pineapple, apricot, fig and date. On the palate, a salty and chalky feel with lots of freshness. Whipped cream and citrus fruits, then nougat come next. Full and generous finish with toasted accents.
