Tasting notes by Antonio Galloni: ‘The 2004 Cristal has put on quite a bit of weight since I tasted it for the first time at the beginning of the year. This is a powerful, structured and very fruity Cristal. Chardonnay seems to play the main role in 2004, at least today. Cristal is often drinkable young, but that's far from the case here. This is a serious, painfully young Cristal that will require a great deal of patience. Readers who are prepared to spend some time with this wine today will find a super impressive and complete Cristal. The 2004 Cristal is 60% pinot noir and 40% chardonnay. ’
