Deutz Brut La Côte Glacière 2015 - Champagne William Deutz
House Deutz
- Score : 94/100 Wine Spectator
- Cellaring : Can be drunk now, but can also evolve in the cellar until 2035. It is a great Champagne of the house.
- Tasting note by A.N. on Nov. 15, 2021: "This Champagne wine has a wonderfully creamy but not heavy mouthfeel. It's underpinned by balanced acidity that creates an elegant framework for the chalky base and flavours of soaked black cherries, chopped almonds, thyme, hints of lemon and mandarin peel. Fine and distinctive, with a long finish. Drink now through 2035. AN."
- Anecdote: This is the house's new cuvée in homage to William Deutz and inaugurated in 2010. The cellar master, Michel Davesne, chose to vinify the two parcels dedicated to this Champagne separately. And the two cuvées "Hommage à William Deutz" were born: La Côte Glacière and Les Meurtets; 2 parcels of Pinot Noir located in Aÿ. The vinification of this Blanc de Noirs took place in vats to follow on from the Brut dosage, which allowed a fabulous aromatic bouquet to develop after seven years of waiting in the cellar.
- Grape variety: Pinot noir
- Vintage: A great vintage for the house that will be perfect with an aperitif!
- Type of Agriculture : Agriculture Raisonnée
