Dom Pérignon Andy Warhol 2002: Tribute to Pop'art
The Andy Warhol limited collection by Dom Pérignon is a dynamic, warm and fruity champagne, with notes of fresh almond, harvest, candied lemon and dried fruit, enhanced by darker nuances of smokiness and toastiness.
Dom Pérignon Andy Warhol 2002
Inspired by Andy Warhol, this series of bright bottles celebrates the artist and the Pop'art movement. Three colors are available: yellow, red and blue!
The year 2002
The 2002 harvest benefited from a warm, dry spring, with no frost, and almost perfect flowering. Summer was sunny, with a few cloudy and rainy intervals. Ideal weather just before harvest compensated for the heavy rains of late August and early September. The vines were in good condition, and dehydration of the grapes enabled new levels of ripeness to be reached. Harvesting took place from September 12 to 28.
Tasting
On the nose, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2002 reveals notes of fresh almond and harvest, evolving rapidly towards candied lemon and dried fruit. These aromas are complemented by hints of smoke and toast. On the palate, it is paradoxically dense and creamy, offering an energetic, warm, fruit-centric experience that gradually becomes deeper and more serious. The whole is remarkably harmonious, with a subtle, elegant bitterness.
How to serve Dom Pérignon Champagne ?
To serve Dom Pérignon, we recommend cooling to a temperature of 8-10 degrees Celsius. Once the bottle has been opened, use a champagne flute to preserve the wine's delicate aromas and fine bubbles. Pour champagne slowly and at an angle to avoid excessive effervescence. Allow the wine to air in the glass for a few minutes to release all its aromas.
