Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, Domaine Chantal Lescure is a family estate that now belongs to their two sons: Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont. Owner operating 18 hectares of AOC vines, the Domaine Chantal Lescure extends from Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits to Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. In 1996, upon Chantal Lescure's death, Aymeric Machard de Gramont took over the management of the estate. The whole organization of the estate and in particular the way of working the vines were then rethought. François Chavériat was hired as cellar master and has been transforming the estate into an organic agriculture estate since 1997. Today, the estate is certified organic.

 

The estate currently produces great wines in the appellations Pommard, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Beaune, Cote de Beaune, Volnay, Chambolle Musigny, Vosne Romanée. The estate generally produces solid and expressive wines. These are wines cut for ageing which have gained in finesse over the last few years. It is strongly advised to keep the wines in the cellar for a few years as they evolve perfectly in the bottle.
