Buy bottles of Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 1994 - Jean Philippe Marchand
Old vintage of Burgundy
- The cuvée: Charmes-Chambertin is one of the 9 Grands Crus. It is installed on the outcrops of Bajocian marl, covered by a thin layer of scree and excellent silts. The brown limestone soils have developed on these colluviums. It is a wine of great charm, with legendary nuances of red fruit, liquorice and leather. Its structure allows it to age well for at least 10 years.
- Grape variety: Pinot Noir
- Surface area: 0.57 hectares
- Maturing: 15 months in new barrels
- Tasting : balance and harmony. The balance takes into account the acidity, the mellowness and the tannins. Beautiful fullness in the aromatic complexity. Expression of small red fruits in the mouth, silky tannins. To be drunk within 7 to 10 years, or even longer in vintages with good ageing potential.
