Tasted by Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2021: "La Badette 2020 is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, aged for around 18 months in French oak barrels, 100% of which are new. Alcohol content is 15%. Opaque purple-black in colour, Badette 2020 bursts from the glass with explosive notes of cooked blackberry, preserved plum and kirsch, followed by notes of cedar chest, Chinese five spice, tar and liquorice, as well as a touch of eucalyptus. The full-bodied palate is rich and decadent, with layers of preserved black fruits and exotic spices, a firm, grainy texture and plenty of freshness to support the long, opulent finish."
