Macôn Solutré Pouilly 2023 - Joseph Burrier
From the estate
The domain tells you about it :
Terroir : Solutré-Pouilly is one of the emblematic villages of the Mâcon Blanc Villages appellation, renowned for the quality of its Pouilly-Fuissé and its famous prehistoric site. Only a tiny proportion of the commune's vineyards are dedicated to Mâcon production, giving these wines a unique rarity and typicity.
Our selection comes from the superb clay-limestone slopes surrounding Mont de Pouilly and Roche de Solutré, an exceptional terroir that produces wines of great finesse.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-picked when perfectly ripe, then slowly pressed to preserve all their aromatic purity. After rigorous settling, the must ferments slowly in vats and barrels, giving the wine its complexity. Aging lasts around 8 months on fine lees, a method that enhances the wine's depth and intensity, while recalling the signature of the great Pouilly-Fuissé wines.
Tasting
Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly seduces with aromas of ripe white fruit, such as pear and peach. On the palate, it offers freshness and balanced structure, with a touch of citrus on the finish that prolongs the pleasure.
Ideally, serve this wine between 12°C and 15°C, in fine crystal glasses, to appreciate all its aromatic richness.
