- Historical anecdote: This is one of the oldest active wine châteaux in the world. It was created around the year 1000. The current building is not as old, as it was built on top of the original medieval fortress in 1480, but underneath the castle are all the original vaulted cellars.

 

- Location: The château is located just outside Nantes, in one of the best Muscadet producing regions (in the world), Muscadet Sèvre et Maine (Muscadet is a delicious, zesty white wine).  

  

- Since 1997: The estate is certified in organic agriculture, the first in Chinon. However, the process of reflection began well before that, as the desire to work the soil mechanically without the use of herbicides had already germinated when the estate was refounded in 1989.
