- Tasting : The Chinon Clos de Turpenay is deep, intense and concentrated while being quite open on the nose. It reveals dark, ripe and sweet berries and some aromas of mint and dark chocolate. Round and smooth on the palate, this is an elegant, rich, concentrated and quite massive Chinon, but also vitality in the background. Very long and taut, it should have excellent aging potential.
- Presentation of the terroir : Clay-limestone terroir / Massal selection made between 1960 and 1995 on 2 ha. The terroir, known and planted since the Middle Ages, is composed of clay and millarges or yellow tufa facing south-east.
