Tasted by Joe Czerwinski in 2022: "There is no doubt about the potential of the 2020 Châteauneuf du Pape l'Avenue, 100% Grenache, aged in older demi-muids (four or five years). Attractive flashes of mint and licorice accentuate the ripe black cherries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is perfectly round and fleshy, with a silky, almost endless finish. This is just a beautiful Grenache, captured at its ripest, with no obvious over-ripeness."

Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and crushed then conveyed into a truncated-cone-shaped concrete vat. The temperature is maintained at around 25°C during alcoholic fermentation. Maceration lasts about 30 days during which pumping over and racking over are carried out daily according to the tastings of our oenologist Philippe CAMBIE.

Ageing: Grenache is aged for 18 months in demi-muids of 3 wines or more.

Tasting: this cuvée comes from a plot of old grenaches on sandstone at the top of one of the hills of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The nose reveals notes of clementine zest and franboise coulis, the palate is on the palate.
