Château 1968 Margaux - First Grand Cru Rated
This great château doesn't need to prove that anymore. The style of wine produced by the Château Margaux combines elegance, purity of fruit, harmony and finesse. If the wines were actors, one could perhaps say that they have the charm, style, finesse and elegance of Cary Grant.
This suave wine is not light. It is rich, full-bodied, with aromas of black currants, truffles, and haunting violets. There was a reason why the third American president and the first serious wine collector favored Margaux. In 1787, he said, "The Château Margaux is one of the 4 best wines of Bordeaux". More than 200 years later, his words are still relevant. And it will undoubtedly continue to do so for a very long time to come. Every great wine lover must taste at least once a great wine of the Château Margaux.
Enjoy the tasting!
