Terroir / Average age of the vineyard
- Clayey limestone soil with rolled pebbles that accumulate heat during the day and release it to the vines at night.
- Average age of the vines: 35 to 45 years.
Grape varieties
- 45% Clairette
- 35 % Grenache Blanc
20 % Bourboulenc
Vinification / Maturing
- Slight pellicular maceration in full-grape picking.
- Cold wine making (16°C to 20°C)
- 80 % are wines in stainless steel vats and 20 % in new demi-muids.
- Ageing: 6 to 8 months with regular lees stirrings.
Tasting
A nice pale colour with shiny highlights. This white Chateauneuf-du-Pape develops a magnificent aromatic nose. This wine is rich and sweeping in mouth.
Accompaniment
Served fresh (8°C to 10°C), this white Chateauneuf-du-Pape can be drunk in its early years or kept for 6 to 8 years. Ideal as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to savoury tarts, grilled fish or in light sauce.
