Château de Beaucastel 1989
Chateauneuf du pape - Perrin family
97/100 Parker & 97/100 Wine Spectator
Cellaring: 2006 - 2023
By Robert M. Parker in 2003 : "The 1989 is even darker/purple-colored than the 1990, with an extraordinarily sweet, rich personality offering up notes of smoke, melted licorice, black cherries, Asian spices, and cassis. Full-bodied and concentrated, it is one of the most powerful and divine Beaucastels I have tasted. It needs another 3 to 4 years to reach maturity, where it should remain for at least two decades."
