Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2014 - Collection Charles Giraud (Vieilles Vignes) - Domaine Saint Préfert
Situated in the Greenhouse Quarter with its rolled pebbles and gravel, as well as in the Cristia Quarter with its saffron and sand, this is one of the most prestigious cuvees of the estate. There are 60% Grenache (80-year-old vines), 35% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah (65 years old). The wine is aged for 18 months. During the vinification, the grapes are not destemmed. You will notice the suppleness of this cuvée, as well as its great fruity side. The Charles Giraud Collection is a great wine for laying down that you can enjoy after 10 years in the cellar. It will develop for 20 to 25 years, or even more depending on the vintage.
