Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2018 Réserve Auguste Favier in magnum - St Prefert
This wine is produced from the Quartier des Serres. No de-stemming and 18 months of maturing as well. An elegant and spicy profile for this great Southern Rhône wine. It will also be more favourable for tasting in its young years than the Charles Giraud Collection, but it is also a great wine for laying down that you can leave to develop in the cellar for 2 decades, or even more depending on the vintage.
The 2018: It is made up of 85% Grenache and 15% Cinsault, and although it offers darker fruit aromas than the ordinary cuvée, it also blends with floral notes of garrigue with ripe black cherries. Drink it through 2030.
