Order bottles of Châteauneuf du Pape La Reine des Bois 2001 - Domaine de la Mordorée
Domaine de la Mordorée - Châteauneuf du Pape
100/100 Parker
Tasting note by Jeb Dunnuck in 2014: "Younger and more backward, the 2001 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée de La Reine des Bois has been incredibly consistent for me and still comes in near the top of the scale. Black raspberry, blackberry, wood smoke, licorice, crushed rock-like minerality and smoked beef are just some of the nuances here, and it hits the palate with serious levels of fruit, thrilling structure and blockbuster length. It still needs a handful of years to reach full maturity, but it's very good today (provided you're not completely against tannins)."
