Grolleau 2018 - Clau de Nell
Anne Claude LEFLAIVE
- 93/100 Parker
- Cellaring potential : 2023 - 2040
- Tasting note by Stephan Reinhardt on October 14, 2021: "The 2018 Grolleau Loire Valley offers a nose that is bright, fresh and spicy, with aromas of fresh raspberry, blackberry and elegant flint. On the palate, silky, fresh and elegant, this is a fleshy, soft, silky-textured but generous red with fine tannins and an elegant, crystal clear, concentrated and tangy finish. It needs some time, but it is excellent and very generous. Tasted in June 2021."
- IGP Grolleau: a grape variety originating from the Loire.
- With its generous, juicy berries and fine, delicate skin, Grolleau is best known for its use in making rosé wines. At the estate, we have decided to treat it like other grape varieties to produce a deep, fruity red wine.
- Tasting: Grolleau is a little basket of red fruits, lively and full of freshness. With a deep purple colour, it reveals itself with notes of red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, fresh and crisp, enhanced by a spicy and floral touch. - A delicate structure emerges on the mid-palate with a long and precise finish. A light wine with a singular character.
- Pairings: Perfect for the beginning of a meal with some tapas (olives, guacamole, hummus, falafel, candied peppers, candied aubergine...).
- Serve at 16°C, do not hesitate to decant
