- Tasted by William Kelley on July 9, 2020: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Clos Fourtet has a stunning nose of baked blueberries, blackberries, and stewed plums with notes of chocolate-covered cherries, spice cake, candied violets, and wood smoke plus a touch of cast-iron stove. The palate offers blue and black fruit jam flavors, with plenty of floral and mineral sparkle and firm, rounded tannins, and finishes long with fantastic energy and depth."
