Clos Puy Arnaud, located on the slopes of Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, is an exceptional estate that is increasingly attracting the attention of lovers of great biodynamic wines. Led by Thierry Valette, this estate is the perfect embodiment of the elegance and finesse of the region's wines, while showing a deep respect for its terroir thanks to certified organic and biodynamic farming.

The Clos Puy Arnaud estate

The estate covers around 12 hectares of vines, planted mainly with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. Thierry Valette, from a famous family of wine merchants and former owner of Château Pavie, took over the reins of Clos Puy Arnaud with a philosophy focused on nature and the pure expression of terroir. Situated not far from Saint-Émilion, the estate shares similar geological characteristics with its illustrious neighbours: clay-limestone soil, offering a fine minerality and freshness to the wines.

The wine

Clos Puy Arnaud produces wines of great precision, combining depth and finesse while remaining accessible. These are wines that perfectly express their terroir, with beautiful purity of fruit and a refined tannic structure.

On the palate, Clos Puy Arnaud is distinguished by generous aromas of red and black fruit, notably cherry and blackberry, underpinned by spicy and floral notes. The tannins are silky, making the wine both delicious and well-balanced. Thanks to its biodynamic approach, the wines retain a natural freshness and vibrant energy, making them particularly enjoyable to drink, even when young. They also have excellent ageing potential, improving with age.
