Do you know the Clos Saint Antonin ?

Clos Saint Antonin is a 15 hectare estate located outside the town of Jonquières in the Côtes-du-Rhône village of Plan de Dieu. A short drive from Courthézon where Domaine de la Janasse is located, Clos Saint Antonin was purchased by the Sabon family in 2014. St Antonin is the name of the 18th century Provençal farmhouse that sits at the center of the estate. A name that has been used in documents dating back to the time of Napoleon.

- The terroir and the vinification

Red clay, pebbles and sand typical of the Plan de Dieu. On the site, the whole family is involved in farming and winemaking, Isabelle Sabon is at the head of this new project. The wine is complemented by some of her family's vineyards in Le Crau for the Clos Saint Antonin Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Isabelle practices organic farming and her grapes are hand harvested, partially destemmed and fermented with neutral yeasts at Domaine de la Janasse.
