Since 1988, the Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron has been taken over by Alain and Sophie Meunier, who at the time knew almost nothing about viticulture. However, their taste for the land and for undertaking something with perfection was their common goal. It was then that the adventure began for them, in the commune of Premeaux-Prissey, close to Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy. The estate used to belong to Sophie's father. After Alain attended viticulture courses at the "Groupement des Jeunes Viticulteurs" institute in Beaune, the activity is launched, and the desire to practice organic farming will then be put in place.

The Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron owns 8 hectares of vines, including 12 AOC of the Côte de Nuits. There are prestigious appellations, such as: Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru, Clos de Vougeot and Romanée Saint-Vivant Grands Crus. They love to present their vines. "There's life in there, you can see it! ", Alain Meunier describes his plot of Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru. An old vineyard of 80 years, the oldest of the estate. Ploughing with horses has been practiced since 2003.
