Cornas 2010 Les Vieilles Fontaines in Magnum - Alain Voge
Alain Voge
100/100 Parker : a legendary vintage
Maturity: 2020 - 2040
By Jeb Dunnuck in 2015: "Even better than the Cornas 2012 - and one of the best Cornas I've ever tasted - the Cornas Vieilles Fontaines 2010 comes from a tiny plot of old vines and granite soil that bears the name of the fountain located near the vines. Sensationally concentrated, powerful, backward and with the essence of those steep granite slopes, it releases tons of blackcurrant, freshly crushed rock, wood smoke, black raspberry and roasted meats. This full-bodied beauty is as deep as it looks, but requires 4 to 5 years of cellaring and will keep for 20 to 30 years. Robert Parker gave this beauty a score of 100 points when he released it and I can only agree with him. Hats off to Alain Voge and the winemaker Albert Mazoyer".
