Château Cos d'Estournel 2000
Saint-Estèphe - Second Grand Cru Rated
Rated 97/100 Robert Parker
"Made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the Cos d'Estournel 2000 is a dark garnet color with a touch of brick and displays many tertiary evolutions. It reveals itself with opulent sandalwood, five Chinese spices, a cigar box, and leathery aromas over a core of prunes, baked cherries, dried blackberries, and eucalyptus, as well as a touch of potpourri. The medium-bodied palate is loaded with fragrant fruitcake and exotic spices, framed by wonderfully mellow tannins and a refreshing line, ending with an exhilarating mint finish." Lisa Perroti-Brown
