Find all the great Cosse & Maisonneuve vintages direct from the estate on our website.
Located in the heart of the Cahors terroir, the Cosse et Maisonneuve estate embodies the authenticity and elegance of the great wines of the Southwest. Founded by Jean-Philippe and Sylvie Cosse, the estate is distinguished by its respectful approach to nature, with a strong commitment to organic farming. The 10-hectare vineyard benefits from ideal exposure and clay-limestone soil, ideal for the cultivation of grape varieties typical of the region, such as malbec, côt and merlot. The winegrowers' know-how is passed on through environmentally-friendly practices, enabling them to produce exceptional wines while preserving biodiversity.
Domaine Cosse et Maisonneuve offers a selection of cuvées that reflect the diversity and richness of their terroir. Among the most remarkable is the “Les Laquets” cuvée, a powerful, elegant Malbec typical of the region, with aromas of black fruits and spices. The “Le Causse” cuvée, meanwhile, is distinguished by exceptional finesse and rare complexity, aged in oak barrels to offer a seductive aromatic palette of precious woods and ripe fruit.
The estate is certified as an organic farm, with rational crop and soil management. The use of natural treatments and the preservation of local ecosystems are at the heart of the estate's philosophy. This approach enables us to produce wines that are both powerful and refined, revealing all the richness of the Cahors terroir, while respecting the environment.
The Cahors terroir is renowned for its character and ability to produce powerful, full-bodied wines. The continental climate, with its cold winters and hot summers, and the clay-limestone soils provide ideal conditions for the estate's grape varieties. The vines, cultivated without pesticides or chemicals, are carefully managed from pruning to harvest, to guarantee optimum quality in every vintage.
Domaine Cosse et Maisonneuve wines are designed for connoisseurs of fine wines in search of character and subtlety. Their depth, structure and ageing potential make them ideal companions for refined meals or special occasions. The domaine also offers vintage cuvées that deserve to be kept to reveal their full complexity over the years.
