By Joe Czerwinski in 2019: "Mainly blended but still in casks, the Cote Rotie Ampodium 2018 is a great introduction to Rostaing's Côte Rôties. Blackberries and licorice appear on the nose, followed by savory notes of espresso and black olives on the medium to full-bodied palate. It is silky, fine and complex, with a long, slightly dusty finish. I also tasted a richer and more structured batch of the Viallière that will be blended, as well as a superb barrel of Leyat that will add floral, raspberry and mocha notes".
