Tasted by JM in 2012 : " Shows nice flesh for the vintage, with a firm layer of cocoa powder on top of crushed plum, cassis and loganberry fruit, followed by warm ganache and toasted bay notes. Has the angles of the vintage, but more depth and breadth than most." JM
Soil geology: Siliceous limestone with micaschists whose weathering has resulted in clay soils, rich in iron oxides.
Grape varieties: 93% Syrah, 7% Viogner.
Average age of the vines: about 25 years.
Vinification: In temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Automatic punching down system. Fermentation : Alcoholic/aceration for 4 weeks.
Maturation : Unique 40 months in new barrels.
Yields : 35 Hl / hectare.
