Domaine des Comtes Lafon's Volnay Village is a red wine from the prestigious Volnay appellation, located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. It is made exclusively from the Pinot Noir grape variety, grown organically on carefully selected plots. This wine embodies all the finesse and delicacy typical of great Volnay wines, with a precise structure, silky tannins and marked floral elegance. Subtle aromas of morello cherry, violet and undergrowth are enhanced by hints of sweet spice and minerality.
Service, keeping and accompaniment
This wine should be served between 15 and 17°C, after decanting for about 30 minutes if opened young. It will express itself perfectly after a few years' rest in the cellar, with an ageing potential of up to 15 years, or even more depending on storage conditions. Ideal with roast duck fillet, tournedos in morel sauce or roasted vegetables, this Volnay Village is a model of balance, purity and complexity. A must for lovers of refined Burgundy, from an exceptional domaine.
