Presentation of Divem : The rising domain of Languedoc

A small production for an exceptional wine. The ambition is to produce exceptional wines by their concentration and the extent of their aromatic palette. The wines of this beautiful domain are produced in very small quantities. Divem is a small 3.5 hectare estate that made its first vintage in 2000. Gil Morrot is the great winemaker behind all this success. He started by making wine in Alain Chabanon's cellar before starting his own cellar. He makes only 3 wines; two AOC Coteaux du Languedoc Montpeyroux and a table wine, called Carpe Divem, made from Merlot. The Divem (the estate's flagship wine) is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, aged in oak for 30 months. The oak fleshes out the palate during tasting. There are lots of sweet flavors: notes of red meat, game that mingle with nutmeg, pepper and plums. Very complex and very qualitative. The tannins are soft. While this is clearly a full-bodied wine, it holds its alcohol well, at 15.5%.
