Domaine de Chevalier 2000
Pessac-Léognan -Cru Classé de Graves
93/100 James Suckling & 93/100 Parker
Cellaring : Now - 2040
Tasted on 29 July 2016: "The 2000 Domaine de Chevalier has long been one of my favourite wines from the estate, and now, at 16 years of age, it continues to live up to expectations. It has a lovely nose, so lively and vivacious, with scents of black plum and blackberry, cedar and damp undergrowth, an undercurrent of tobacco. The palate is impressive, fine acidity, but still in the background and hinting that there is "much more in the tank". The structure is wonderful here, though it doesn't offer the length one might expect, which forced me to take a few points off. In summary, this is a great Pessac-Léognan with a 30-40 year lifespan.
